Mauna Kea-- the ends of the Earth

Mauna Kea is... spectacular! The drive there is nothing short of an adventure-- even rental cars are prohibited to traverse the winding trail~

A breathtaking thing was that we came upon a rainbow... the end of a rainbow! The mist actually fell upon our faces as we delighted in the beauty of being so close. We have all split up the pot of gold, so you don't have to worry about that anymore :)

The top we impressive~ snowy, steep and very thin air! We watched the sun set from ABOVE the clouds... And later saw awesome shooting stars and the moons of Jupiter from telescopes... What a great experience!!

Ruth

Ruth is a sweet lady.  She has the energy of an eighteen year old and the wisdom of an 82 year old.  She bounds up the 72 stairs leading up to our campus faster than most students! Her love of God is contagious and her faith in the midst of heartache makes me pause to think about what I want to be like when I'm 82~  I think I want to have a beauty like Ruth.

A fruit~

Today we had to submit a photo that represents a fruit of the Spirit~

Love.Joy.Peace.Patience.Kindness.Goodness.Faithfulness.Gentleness.Self-Control.
I wanted to get a shot of someone with tape on their mouth and a juicy hamburger enticingly in front of them (kind of Self-Control). But I didn't.

I chose Faithfulness.

Angry Kitchen Worker, etc. :)

Today I ran into an angry kitchen worker... well, I may have had him pose that way and it may have been a stretch for him, but I think it turned out pretty convincingly.  I love this guy!

Also, a hungry sheep, a loyal dog & Starbucks :)

Kua Bay

My parents came & we went to Kua Bay to swim... The waves were incredibly high so we ended up just taking in the beauty~
